The goal here was continuity. The client wanted the living zone to be a natural extension of the kitchen, not just a separate area where the furniture style suddenly changes. It needed to house the tech without lowering the tone of the room.
The media wall is serious joinery. By carrying the kitchen’s cabinetry style and paint colour through to the lounge, the whole ground floor feels like one cohesive space. We combined open shelves for the books and photos with deep closed cupboards to house the router, the remotes, and the clutter.
We turned the “TV corner” into a grown-up living space. Yes, it’s organised and stylish, but it also stops the big black screen from dominating the room.
