The Brief

Minimalism looks great in photos, but it’s hard to live with unless you have discipline or a back up plan. The client wanted the main kitchen to look like an art gallery, which meant we needed a serious backstage area to handle the messy reality of actually cooking dinner.

The Details

Hidden behind dark fluted glass doors, this is a fully functioning kitchen within a kitchen. We used the same dark-stained timber and carried the XTONE Paonazzo Biondo stone through from the kitchen to keep a seamless look. It’s got loads of storage, a dedicated prep sink and open shelving for the essentials. The vertical tray slot in the base unit means no more chopping boards sliding around the worktop.

The Finished Walk-In Pantry

By moving the prep and cleanup into the walk-in pantry, the main kitchen remains a sanctuary. It proves that the secret to a pristine home isn’t cleaning more; it’s having an intelligent, secondary space to manage life behind the scenes.
