The client wanted a dedicated entertaining space that didn’t dominate the room. We utilised the height of the vaulted ceiling to create a cabinet that acts as the life of the party when open, but vanishes completely behind bi-fold doors when the night is over.
We used an antique mirrored back panel to catch the natural light from the skylights – adding immediate depth to the alcove. Inside, it’s a fully operational bar featuring twin under-counter units: a dedicated wine cooler and a matching drinks fridge for beers and mixers. Integrated warm LEDs make the crystal sparkle, while the brass-finished tap and prep sink ensure everything you need is within arm’s reach.
This is the ultimate architectural party trick. By housing every essential behind a tailored facade, the conversation remains uninterrupted. It transforms the dining area into a self-contained entertainment suite, ensuring the host never has to step away from the moment.
