The client wanted a dedicated drinks station that felt like a seamless part of the kitchen furniture. Situated right next to the cooking zone, it needed to be accessible for evening entertaining but completely discreet during the day-to-day school run.
Designed as a countertop cabinet, this piece features precision bi-fold doors. Using exposed brass butt hinges, the doors fold neatly back against the carcass – without encroaching on the walkway when open. The softly painted exterior gives way to a subtle ‘gris-belge’ stained oak interior, its warmth enhanced by integrated LED lighting. Hanging glass racks and a mirrored back panel reflect the light, adding depth and quiet sophistication to the cabinet.
This is the hidden gem concept executed perfectly. By day, it’s elegant, quiet storage. By night, you open the doors, the lights kick in, and the kitchen instantly feels like a cocktail lounge.
