The goal was simple: get the guests out of the cooking zone without kicking them out of the kitchen. The client needed a dedicated entertaining hub-somewhere to decant a red or mix a drink-that felt distinct from the main prep area but seamlessly integrated into the room’s classic architecture.
We designed this as a piece of furniture first. The crisp Farrow & Ball – All White cabinetry frames the warm, oak interiors, creating a rich backdrop for the glassware behind the glazed doors. The engineering highlight is the pocket door; it slides effortlessly into the wall to reveal a floor-to-ceiling oak wine feature with integrated diamond lattice storage. With twin under-counter coolers and a dedicated prep sink, it’s a fully self-contained station.
This is zoning at its best. It offers serious capacity, hundreds of bottles stored properly, without dominating the room. It’s elegant and understated when closed, but slide that door back, and it’s ready for a party.
