The Brief

A luxury space for a large family shouldn’t feel like a showroom; it should feel like a sanctuary capable of handling a crowd. The brief was to design a kitchen that functions as a professional-grade workspace for a passionate cook, while providing the scale needed to host extended family.

The Layout

In a space of this scale, the layout must be intentional. We designed a commanding central island at the heart of this room. This creates a natural flow that accommodates large-scale entertaining without crowding the workspace.

The Drinks Cabinet

A dedicated wet bar features bi-fold pocket doors. With a mirrored back, and wine fridge, it transitions the room from morning coffee to evening drinks in seconds.

Bespoke Pantry

Hidden behind cabinetry doors, this stunning pantry acts as the kitchen’s engine room. Floor-to-ceiling bespoke shelving and oak drawers maximise food storage, allowing the main kitchen surfaces to remain completely clutter-free.

The Finished Kitchen

The result is a powerhouse of a kitchen: A high-performance environment designed to handle the energy of a full house while offering the refined serenity of a luxury home.

FAQs For This Kitchen Project

How does the design accommodate hosting on a large scale?

The entire layout was conceived with entertaining in mind, ensuring a seamless flow for both the host and guests. At the heart of the home is the expansive Caesarstone island, which provides a vast surface for food presentation and socialising. This is supported by dedicated areas including a professional bar, a high-capacity wine fridge, and bespoke pantry, all positioned to allow for effortless hosting without compromising the efficiency of the main cooking area.

Designed as a professional-grade bar, the drinks cabinet is hidden behind bi-fold doors that tuck away to save space while in use. Inside, an antique-style mirrored back reflects the glassware, and a touch of charcoal oak creates a high-end bar atmosphere. It’s a dedicated area that allows guests to serve themselves without interrupting the main cooking flow.

We wanted the pantry to feel like a seamless part of the architecture whilst also providing a hidden hub for organisation. When closed, its Down Pipe exterior and custom detailing make it look like a piece of bespoke freestanding furniture rather than a utility cupboard. Inside, the charcoal oak finish continues the moody, premium feel

In a project of this scale, the design philosophy was very much ‘more-is-more’, ensuring every convenience was accounted for. To elevate the experience, we incorporated a series of luxury features designed for effortless hosting, including a champagne trough integrated into the island to keep drinks chilled and within easy reach, and a pot filler tap above the induction hob to remove the need to carry heavy pans across the kitchen. These additions, alongside the Quooker tap and professional suite of Wolf appliances, ensure the kitchen performs at the highest standard while maintaining its refined, luxury aesthetic.

We used a trio of finishes to define different zones within the open-plan space. The island and bespoke pantry are finished in Down Pipe for a bold, sophisticated look, while the main cooking run and substantial mantel use Cornforth White to maintain a sense of classic elegance. To add a sense of luxury, the tall run of cabinetry housing the Sub-Zero and Wolf suite is finished in Chocolate Oak, creating a rich, textural contrast that ties the whole room together.
