The Brief

This client wanted a showstopper. The brief was to create a kitchen that feels bold, moody, and ready for a party the second the lights go down.

The Hero

The real star here isn’t the cooker, it’s the illuminated gin cabinet. We designed a dedicated drinks area that glows against the deep blue cabinetry. It has bags of storage and is a statement that says, “the working day is over.”

The Island

The central island is grand-scale. Paired with velvet stools and brass accents, it’s more cocktail hour than breakfast time. It’s designed for leaning on with a G&T in hand.

The Details

Keeping things sophisticated, we hid the domestic reality. A bi-fold breakfast station conceals the toaster and crumbs. We also slipped in a dedicated charging drawer with built-in sockets for mobile phones.

Gold hardware takes the luxe level up a notch.

The Hallway

We didn’t stop at the kitchen door. We pulled that stunning deep blue right out into the hallway with a matching console table. With simple tapered legs and matching brass knobs, it ties the whole ground floor together.

The Finished Kitchen

A kitchen that performs beautifully by day and entertains effortlessly by night.

FAQs For This Kitchen Project

How did you balance such a striking colour choice with the rest of the space?

The goal was to create a space that felt unapologetically bold. We used Hague Blue for the exterior cabinetry to provide deep, architectural weight, but balanced it with Silestone Eternal Statuario surfaces. The stone’s ‘bluey-white’ base and bright veining act as a bridge between the dark cabinetry and the light-filled room, ensuring the kitchen feels vibrant and sophisticated.

Modern kitchens are multi-functional hubs, and the breakfast station allows the ‘work’ of the morning to be hidden away in seconds. By using bi-fold doors, we ensure that when the station is open, it doesn’t obstruct the flow of the kitchen. Inside, everything from the toaster to coffee supplies is organised against the soft Gris-belge interior, keeping the main work surfaces clear and clutter free.

We believe a kitchen should solve daily frustrations. In this design, we integrated a dedicated charging drawer to keep phones and cables off the work surfaces, maintaining the clean lines of the design. We also included a tiered spice insert within the drawers, ensuring every ingredient is visible and easily accessible, which is a simple but transformative detail for those who love to cook.

The illuminated gin cabinet is a beautiful example of bespoke craftsmanship. It features a custom timber stemware rack and mirrored accents that catch and reflect the light, providing a dedicated home for spirits and glassware. Designed to effortlessly transition the kitchen from a functional cooking space into a luxury evening setting.

Polished brass offers a warm luminous contrast to the cool depth of the Hague Blue cabinetry. Adding a touch of classic glamour that prevents the dark cabinetry from feeling too flat. It acts as a consistent design thread, seamlessly tying the room together, perfectly complimenting the Gris-belge interiors, the brass-accented lighting and velvet bar stools. This repetition of metallic tones ensures the entire space feels cohesive, intentional, and elegantly finished.
