Our clients wanted to turn a former lounge with a tricky vaulted ceiling into the ultimate party room. With a large adult family, the brief was simple: create a space that can host 40 people without breaking a sweat.
Symmetry creates calm. We built two identical “step-in” niches into the walls. On the left: a substantial walk-in pantry for dry goods. On the right: a dedicated wine store with bespoke X-frame racking. When he saw the finished joinery, the client realised he’d need to order 400 bottles to fill it. We suspect he rose to the challenge.
For the serious baker, we designed a cabinet with roll-back doors that disappear completely, no hinges getting in the way of the mixer. Lighting was critical. In a room this big, you can’t just rely on ceiling spots. We layered light into the furniture itself, under canopies and inside cabinets, so the room shifts from bright workspace to atmospheric bar at the flick of a switch.
We installed a fully equipped wet bar with its own sink, dishwasher, and fridges. It’s effectively a second kitchen. This keeps the guests topped up and – crucially – keeps them out of the chef’s way.
With a ‘party-size’ 4.5-metre island, this kitchen works as hard as it looks. Grand in scale, but effortless in practice.
In a space with as much architectural height, the goal was to create a kitchen that felt equally grand yet perfectly balanced. We chose an All White exterior for the cabinetry to maximise the light, paired with Silestone Eternal Calacatta worktops. The soft grey veining in the stone adds just the right amount of detail, grounding the design while keeping the overall look crisp, bright, and welcoming.
The island was designed as the ultimate heart of this home, capable of accommodating large parties with ease. At 4.5 metres long, it offers an incredible amount of room for prepping food, while still leaving plenty of space for family and friends to pull up a stool. It’s perfectly proportioned to the room’s scale, acting as a natural bridge between the main cooking area and the spots dedicated to hosting and relaxing.
This project combines unique storage with effortless style. Step-in-niches house dry goods and a remarkable wine collection, while a baking cupboard with roll-back doors keeps essentials neatly organised. Glass front cabinets in the central island keep glassware and curated items permanently on display –turning storage into a statement.
With vaulted ceilings and carefully considered storage, this space is both functional and breathtaking – making it perfect for parties, daily living, and everything in-between.
To make hosting feel effortless, we created a fully equipped wet bar slightly away from the main cooking area. With its own sink, dishwasher, and refrigeration, its a brilliant spot for guests to help themselves without interrupting the chef. The glass cabinets above are a lovely way to showcase crystal glassware, adding a touch of evening glamour to the space.
The combination of natural oak and polished chrome provides a timeless, high-contrast finish. We wanted the organic texture of the oak to be a permanent feature of the design; by using glass-fronted cabinetry for the wine store and island cupboards for example, the warmth of the timber is always on display. It creates a beautiful, soft glow against the crisp All White exterior, while the polished chrome reflects the light beautifully, ensuring the kitchen feels both welcoming and enduringly elegant.
